Would you all think the air duct has an excessive bend at the strap or is it okay?

"No 90-degree bends!"

Whoa there!

You absolutely CAN HAVE 90 degree bends, you just have to maintain the proper radius.

First, out 18" from the metal collar or metal duct it is attached to, then (when going vertical) the bend, then, within 18" of the bend, a support strap.

The minimum center line radius (center line of the duct) is one duct diameter.

The inner duct core *is not allowed to be deformed*.
