Due to the amount of personal e-mails I have received about the off topic nature and language in this thread we are starting if off fresh.I would encourage everybody to review the Message Board Rules posted here: http://www.inspectionnews.com/cgi-bin/ubb-cgi/Ultimate.cgi?action=agree ------------------ Sincerely, Brian Hannigan Hann Tech Marketing Links: Helping Inspectors $ucceed Since 1997 =================================== Books-Reports-Scheduling-Tools |

While I do agree that there are times when a fresh start is both warranted and needed, I would also submit that those who take the time and effort in helping others should be afforded a bit more respect than what is regularly shown by the abrasive nature of the originator. If you are in-deed tired of someone's *sh!+*, it's simple... ignore that individual-- don't start a pizzing contest on the message board. Instead of helping the situation and yourself, you do nothing but make matters worse. If the thread originator seeks information/ opinions on a particular issue and then decides s/he doesn't care to have certain individuals provide that information or opinion, well... it doesn't work that way. Once you post on this public and open forum, the podium is open to *ALL* who wish to contribute-- not just those of your liking. I personally choose to ignore certain postings and individuals, who I know are someone that I would not want to be associated with professionally or personally. If you wouldn't want someone to disrespect you the way you have other people, then why in the world would you/anyone become belligerent when asking for help *after* others respond with suggestions of how to improve the method of delivery. I don't know about the rest of you folks, but my life is stressful enough with having to deal with; phones, traffic, agents, weird clients, advertising, billing, receivables, up-keep of tools and equipment, sellers who are pissed about *NOT* selling their home, agents who are pissed cause they didn't get their commission, did I update my supra, did I change/ charge all my batteries, is the roof too steep to walk, I need more printer cartridges and is this the day that I step off the ceiling joist and fall? Golly, wa-a-a-ay too many other things to be uptight about than asking for help and being asked to post *only* those pictures that pertain to the subject matter...posting on a bulletin board is suppose to be and a learning envorinment... not one of confrontation. Matt, I bet you are so glad you took the time to post your question and pics! Wow.In the future, to make it easier on us old-timers could you separately upload the pics you would like us to see? We have a format that everyone is used to here, and it works well, for current and future research. We would all really appreciate it. Thank you in advance, if you need help, drop me an email and I can walk you through. (example of civility) Please note, Brian. Now, to get back on track. The pics don't resemble the typical mildew formations I see in 60% of the attics I inspect. The discoloration is too segmented, and too linear. Reused plywood? Keep L@@kin
